How does the Artboxproject work?
When does The ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0 take place?
THE ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 1.0 will take place from 15 - 20 August 2019 at the SBB Eventhalle at Zurich Central Station.
Who can participate in the ARTBOX.PROJECT?
All artists, regardless of nationality, can apply and participate.No pornographic, racist or ethically inappropriate work will be accepted. The decision whether a work of art is accepted or not lies solely with the ARTBOX.PROJECT team. In case of inappropriate work that is not accepted, the participation fee will be refunded.
How can I participate?
If you would like to be part of our art project, you can submit your artworks on our website www.artboxprojects.com using the registration form! We look forward to your works! Please make sure that the submitted pictures correspond to the following dimensions: Minimum size: 672x672 px. Minimum resolution: 300 dpi.
What can I win?
- a jury selects 10 finalists and 100 semi-finalists from all registered works of art
Of the 10 finalists, the original artworks will be shown at the exhibition in Zurich, ARTBOX.GALLERY will organise the transport of the artworks from the artist's domicile to Zurich and back to the artist, ARTBOX.GALLERY will pay the transport costs. If the work of art is sold, the entire sales price received goes to the artist, the gallery does not take any commission.
The 100 semi-finalists are specially presented on the oversized LED screen. Each artwork is shown several times a day individually with artist name, artwork name and a personalized QR code which is directly linked to the artist's website. The semi-finalists have the opportunity to send us their business cards so that we can pass them on to potential buyers and interested parties during the exhibition.
The 10 finalists and the 100 semi-finalists will be shown on our social media channels and on the ARTBOX.PROJECT website as well as on the ARTBOX.GALLERY Switzerland website. If desired, the pictures can be linked to the artist's website.
Visitors have the opportunity to vote for their favourite work of art during the exhibition, the artist with the most votes wins a cooperation contract with ARTBOX.GALLERY Zurich.
How can I win?
The ARTBOX.PROJECT jury selects all finalists and semi-finalists from all participants.The overall winner of the project will be determined by the visitors of the exhibition by a public vote.
Who is the Jury?
Our jury consists of 15 persons and includes gallery owners, artists, art lovers and people from different age categories and professions. We try to obtain the broadest possible display of different opinions in order to make a fair selection that corresponds to the general public.
When will the finalists be chosen?
The finalists will be elected after the closing date for entries on 15 June 2019. The finalists will be announced on July 1, 2019.
What happens if I win?
What do the participants get?
Each participant receives a certificate of participation issued by THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS and a photo of his work of art on the screen at the exhibition.
How many artworks can I submit?
You can submit as many works of art as you like!
Are there any further costs after the entry fee?
No, there will be no additional costs! If you are one of the finalists, all transport costs will be paid by ARTBOX.GALLERY.
How much does it cost to participate?
The participation fee is 45€ per work of art
What happens if my artwork gets rejected?
No pornographic, racist or ethically inappropriate work will be accepted. The decision whether a work of art is accepted or not lies solely with the ARTBOX.PROJECT team. In case of inappropriate work that is not accepted, the participation fee will be refunded.
Do I have to pay a commission if my artwork is sold during the exhibition?
No, when a work of art is sold, THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS does not charge a commission! 100% of the proceeds go to the artist
Who organizes the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0?
THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS was launched by THE ARTBOX.GALLERY in Switzerland (Zug / Zurich). The art projects are organized and carried out by the team of THE ARTBOX.GALLERY and with the support of many volunteers. THE ARTBOX.GALLERY and THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS are projects of ARTBOX.GROUPS GmbH in Zug, Switzerland.

What size and resolution should the pictures have?
Please make sure that the submitted pictures correspond to the following dimensions:Minimum size: 672x672 px.minimum resolution: 150 dpi.

What can I do if i have made a mistake whilst submitting my artwork?
If you make a mistake while submitting your artwork, you can contact us by email (email@example.com) and we will do our best to fix it for you.
How do I submit a video?
If the file is larger than 20MB, a still image (thumbnail) must be uploaded in the registration form. You can send us the video via wet transfer to the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org
How can I pay?
We accept all usual credit cards, PayPal as well as bank transfer.
I am a finalist, what now?
If our jury selects you as one of the 10 finalists, we will contact you.THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS will take care of the transport of the original work to Zurich and the costs incurred.If you are one of the 100 semi-finalists, we will also contact you to inform you about the presentation of your artwork on our social media channels and our website.
How do I contact the ARTBOX.PROJECT Team?
What is the Walk of Art?
The registered works of art that have not been selected as finalists or semi-finalists will be shown digitally on the "Walk of Art" during the entire exhibition period. The Walk of Art is a 40 meter long walk with over 15 different high-resolution 55" portrait and landscape screens.
Which art forms are allowed?
ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0 allows all kinds of art and styles, there are no restrictions.
